Riley Powell reveals how Mark Williams and Lee Walker have helped his snooker game so far after shock Shoot Out win
Wilson was 31-0 up with five minutes to go but a tremendous long red saw 14-year-old Powell close the gap to 31-11.
The final part of the game saw the countdown bleeps, to tell the player when there are five seconds remaining, not working but Powell pulled off some stunning pots to make a break of seven and keep the match alive.

Wilson potted a red but went in-off, which gave Powell the ball in hand and he kept his cool to win 41-31.
Powell is the Welsh Under-18 champion and has been helped with his game by compatriots Mark Williams and Lee Walker.
“First thing I went out there to do was just enjoy it, coming out of there with a win, I’ve got no words to say, to be honest with you,” Powell told Eurosport following his shock victory.
“Lee Walker is a massive help. SightRight has helped me a lot. As long as you’re lined up in the middle of the shot you can’t really miss it, unless you throw a quick one in.”

Asked how three-time world champion Williams helps, he added: “He gives me some abuse now and again, but he’s a good help as well.”
Wilson, who was runner-up at the 2020 World Championship to Ronnie O’Sullivan, was gracious in defeat.
“Every credit to him, he’s potted a couple of cracking long balls,” he said. “I thought I’d not done enough, but tried to use experience and not take on too many risks. Every credit to Riley, he produced some really good snooker there.
“It’s good to see. We need some new youngsters coming through, this is a fantastic platform to showcase your abilities, hopefully he goes on and does really well.”
Powell has been playing snooker for six years and practices at Williams’ snooker club in Tredegar.
The teenager was asked by Eurosport how he got into the sport: “One day me and my dad were playing on a pool table and he said, ‘do you want to go to a big table and try?’
“We went down and I just fell in love with the game.”
