Roy Hodgson agrees to stay on as Crystal Palace boss for next season after Premier League survival – reports
Roy Hodgson has reportedly agreed to stay on for another season as Crystal Palace manager.
Hodgson, 75, returned to Palace for a second spell in March and steered them well clear of the relegation zone.

Hodgson spent four years at Palace from 2017 to 2021 and returned to the club in March after Patrick Vieira was sacked.
Hodgson’s arrival sparked a huge upturn in form.
Having not won in 12 matches in all competitions, Palace reeled off three successive wins under Hodgson to move away from the bottom three.
They won twice more, while only losing two games, to comfortably secure a mid-table finish.
Hodgson, who will turn 76 before Palace’s 2023/24 opener against Sheffield United on August 12, said at the end of the 2022/23 season that he expected the final match against Nottingham Forest to be his “last game”.
“I signed a contract here until the end of the season and I was grateful to do so.
“All along, I have seen this as my last game on my contract and as far as I’m concerned that’s what it is.”
Hodgson is the oldest manager in Premier League history.
Palace’s Eberechi Eze recently credited Hodgson for earning him his first England call-up.
“I am very grateful to Roy for all he did in helping me regain form. He helped me massively with my mental state too,” said Eze, who scored 10 Premier League goals last season.
“He advises me all the time, he has insane wisdom.”
After starting the new season against Sheffield United, Palace play Arsenal, Brentford, Wolves and Aston Villa.
