Ryan Gosling cries singing Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ in ‘The Fall Guy’ Super Bowl 2024 trailer
Even “Barbie” star Ryan Gosling can’t resist a good cry while listening to a melancholy Taylor Swift song.
Gosling teared up and sung along to T. Swift’s “All Too Well,” during a 2024 Super Bowl commercial to promote his upcoming movie, “The Fall Guy.”
In the trailer for the action-comedy, based on the ’80s TV series starring Lee Majors, Gosling’s stuntman character, Colt Seavers, crooned and wept to “All Too Well,” the 10-minute rendition from “Red (Taylor’s Version).”
When co-star Emily Blunt, who plays Jody Moreno, sees Seavers tearing up, she knocks on his car window and asks him, “Have you been crying to Taylor Swift?”
“Doesn’t everybody?” he replies.
Swift, of course, was at Sunday night’s Super Bowl LVIII game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas cheering on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, as he and his team battled the San Francisco 49ers for the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Gosling’s adaptation of “The Fall Guy” is based on the ABC action-adventure series that aired for five seasons (1981-86) and starred Majors as Lee Majors plays Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stunt man who moonlights as a bounty hunter — and who uses his physical skills and knowledge of stunts to capture fugitives and criminals.
The series co-starred Douglas Barr, Heather Thomas, Jo Ann Pflug and Markie Post.
Earlier, Gosling told People that, while preparing for the movie, he talked to Majors, 84.
“[Majors] came out to Australia and I had an opportunity to talk to him and spend the day with him. It was pretty great,” he said. He said he’s still “text buddies” with Majors.
“He’s so funny and he’s very lovely and gracious,” Gosling told the publication.
“The Fall Guy,” which opens May 3, co-stars Winston Duke and Stephanie Hsu (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”).
Its studio, Universal, described “The Fall Guy” as a “love letter to action movies and the hard-working and under-appreciated crew of people who make them.”
