The Hammers conceded error after error as Chelsea brutally capitalised, with Kerr netting her third and Chelsea’s fourth on the stroke of half time to go into the break with the game wrapped up.
James found the fifth goal ten minutes into the second half before Kerr grabbed her fourth five minutes later.
Chelsea scored their seventh and final goal courtesy of Reiten with a deflected effort.
The emphatic win means Chelsea have reached the League Cup final for the fourth consecutive season.
They beat this campaign’s upcoming opponents Arsenal 2-1 in 2020, before sweeping Bristol City away the following year in a 6-0 win.
Man City got the better of them last year in a 3-1 win at AFC Wimbledon’s Plough Lane.
While the Blues will be eyeing redemption this campaign, a treble is still up for grabs as they continue to dominate in the league and cup competitions.
Before the 2022/23 season, Hayes’ side won seven of the nine major domestic trophies available and could make it 10 out of 12 this season.
They’re top of the WSL table, are into the fifth round of the FA Cup and have reached a fourth consecutive League Cup final.
This season’s League Cup final will take place on March 5 at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park.
