Serrano vacates title after WBC refuses to sanction 12 three-minute rounds
“Featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano has relinquished her WBC title after the governing body refused to allow women to fight for 12 three-minute rounds. Female bouts are currently 10 two-minute rounds. She said: “Moving forward if a sanctioning body doesnu0027t want to give me and my fellow fighters the choice to fight the same as the men, then I will not be fighting for that sanctioning body.””
