Some kids will do anything to avoid doing their chores.
A Louisiana teen was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly shot his stepfather during a spat about doing the dishes.
Sha’mikel Jones, 18, was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with second-degree aggravated battery in connection to the shooting at a home in Shreveport, KSLA reported.
Officers responded to calls about a shooting on Melrose Street around 10:30 that morning, the outlet said.
Upon arriving at the scene, they found that Jones had shot his stepfather in the leg with a shotgun after he refused to help wash the dishes and clean his room.
The stepfather, who has not been named, was treated at the hospital and is expected to recover. A man and woman were also questioned in the incident.
