Ski Jumping: Norway beat Austria and Germany to men’s team event title at World Cup in Lahti

Norway produced a polished performance to claim the men’s large hill team title at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Lahti.

Halvor Egner Granerud topped the scoring in his group in both rounds to help Norway to the title, with Austria finishing 25.7 points behind.

All four of Johann Andre Forfang, Granerud, Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Marius Lindvik played their part as Norway triumphed.

Forfang, Granerud and Lindvik were the highest scorers in their respective groups after the first round as Norway established a 21.1 point lead.

Sundal then produced the second-highest score of the day in the second round to keep Norway at the top of the podium.

Germany claimed bronze with 883.2 points, 52 fewer than Norway, who sit fourth in the Nations Cup standings on 3056 points.

Austria are well in the lead, with a 1445-point advantage over Germany in second, as Slovenia sit in third.

Action in Lahti concludes with the large hill individual tomorrow.
