Spain’s Bonmati wins Ballon d’Or Feminin
“Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmati has won the fifth edition of the Ballon d’Or Feminin, the first time the 25-year-old has received the award. Bonmati, who won the World Cup Golden Ball, helped Spain win the tournament in August. Bonmati’s international and club team-mate Alexia Putellas has held the award for the last two years but was ruled out after a long-term injury.”
