Spalletti named Italy manager as Mancini successor
“Luciano Spalletti has cancelled his plans of a year-long sabbatical from football to take charge of the Italy national team. His appointment comes after the departure of Euro 2022-winning manager Roberto Mancini earlier this month. The fresh challenge for Spalletti comes after he guided Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season, which they won by 16 points.”
