Stormy Daniels ‘out of f–ks’ in Trump scandal Peacock doc
Get the umbrellas, a storm is here.
Stormy Daniels, 44, the porn star whose alleged affair with Donald Trump could earn him criminal charges — is back in the spotlight.
Daniels (née Stephanie Gregory Clifford), who is also an adult film director and a former stripper, is the subject of a new documentary called “Stormy,” from director/producer Sarah Gibson and Erin Lee Carr (“Britney vs Spears”).
“People think they know the facts of the case, but it’s really shocking,” Carr told the Hollywood Reporter.
Daniels became a household name in 2018 when it was reported she had an affair with Trump in 2006 and was paid $130,000 in “hush money” in 2016 to stay quiet. Trump, who is currently running for a second presidential term, denied the affair happened.
“All I had to do was sign this piece of paper to keep it quiet,” she said in the doc’s trailer. “I won’t give up. Because I’m telling the truth.”
She added: “I’m out of f – – ks.”
Gibson told the outlet that she thinks people will find Daniels relatable, despite her “unorthodox” career choices.
“Her day-to-day life, marriage, being a mom, being the breadwinner, is something a lot of people can relate to. But then, when a bomb goes off in your life, as it did with the Trump story, she was trying to just fight her way through it and keep her career.
“She had a 20-year career before the story broke and was directing between 10 and 12 films a year. She’s a very skilled filmmaker, and people just didn’t know that. They just saw this seductress or a woman who was just out for fame and money.”
The filmmaker explained that she and Daniels met in 2019.
“Then, when the Michael Avenatti trial was happening, and he was representing himself in court and asking her really awful questions on the stand, it really hurt my heart. I remembered him promoting her book, and it was shocking that he was treating her this way in court after he had obviously tried to capitalize on her,” she said, referring to Daniels’ disgraced former lawyer, who was found guilty in 2022 of stealing nearly $300,000 in book advance cash from the porn star.
“He showed absolutely no remorse, lying about me right until the end,” Daniels told The Post at the time.
“I’ll leave the sentencing to the judge but the maximum would be nice, but then again so would an apology. I am not really holding my breath for either.”
Gibson said that the filmmakers’ previous work on their Britney Spears documentary won Daniels over.
“She was like, ‘I just saw your Britney documentary, let’s do it,’” she recalled Daniels saying.
The filmmaker also praised Daniels’ “courage.”
“We’ll be talking about really intense stuff, and she’ll come up with the funniest joke. And how she’s able to survive through the news cycle — the attacks, the death threats. She’s just so resilient and doesn’t have a victim mentality. She has this incredible courage and strength to stand up for herself. Also, she’s really a tender-hearted person and has really close relationships with her daughter and her animals and her community.”
Daniels, who has been married four times, had her daughter with her ex-husband, porn star Brendan Miller, who she divorced in 2018. Since 2022, she’s been married to porn star and cinematographer Barrett Blade.
“When you marry your best friend, life is always going to be good….even on the days it’s hard. Thank you @barrettblade777 for giving me my dream home, life and family,” Daniels wrote in a late 2022 Instagram post.
“(The diamonds and amazing sex are awesome, too!)”
Daniels ditched her Texas home for a Florida horse farm with Blade, the Daily Mail reported.
Gibson said that Daniels was jaded about a potential documentary, but she talked her around.
“She said, ‘Sarah, so many people have tried to make a documentary about me. No one will touch it because I’m a porn star and because of Trump. No mainstream outlet will give me a chance.’ And I said, ‘Well, had women ever tried? Well, give us a shot at this.’”
Carr added that this is “life and death for Stormy,” because the former adult film actress “Gets daily death threats. And one of the best disinfectants is sunlight.”
“Stormy” will make its world premiere at South by Southwest on Friday. It debuts on Peacock on March 18.
