Suspect who stabbed twins with ‘big knife’ in Brooklyn also tried to slash bodega worker

The cowardly brute who stabbed two twin teens at a Brooklyn bodega Sunday — killing one — also tried to slash a worker at the store during the crazed outburst, The Post has learned.

Storeowner Mohammed Albeher, whose brother-in-law owns Slope Natural Plus, said Monday that workers had to lock the door on the killer, but he waited outside for 19-year-old sisters Samyia and Sanyia Spain shortly before 2:30 a.m.

Albeher said the suspect, who remains on the loose, tried to hit on Samyia before his violent outburst.

“I don’t know where the guy [came] from, but he started asking for her Instagram,” he said. “She refused and he started shouting, raising his voice. So the guy that was working tried to kick the guy out and keep the girls inside.

“He started banging on the window to open the door for him,” Albeher said. “He was saying, ‘I want to get my food,’ and when the worker tried to close the door he tried to stab the guy. He tried to stab my worker. He immediately lock[ed] the door on him.”

Albeher said the workers kept the twins inside, and said, ‘We thought he left.

“But he waited for them and pulled his knife and stab[bed] the girl.”

Samyia was slashed in the neck and chest, and was later pronounced dead at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, while her sister was stabbed in the arm and was treated and released.

Albeher said the two girls were at a nearby club and only stopped by to get some food.

“It’s so sad,” he said. “I’ve known the girls since they [were] small, saw them as they were growing up. They’re here almost every day. The whole family.”

Albeher said the suspect ran off after stabbing the two girls.

“He ran off and threw the knife behind him,” he added. “It was a big knife.”

Relatives told The Post Sunday that the twins did not know their attacker, but the girls’ grandfather said he may have been at the same club earlier in the night.
