Tatyana Remley said she was raped by pal of husband she tried to kill
A glamorous California equestrian facing charges for allegedly trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband claimed she was raped by one of his friends who threatened her “Godfather-style.”
Tatyana Remley claimed her estranged husband, Mark, allowed one of his friends to assault her while she was at their lavish estate in Del Mar, San Diego, according to divorce documents obtained by The Post.
“On May 21, 2023, Respondent’s friends came into our home and broke open my bedroom door while I was locked inside. It was late at night and I was scared to death.
“They forced entry into my bedroom and held me at gunpoint. I was raped by one of his friends, who also told me that he planned on killing me. This happened all whole respondent watched and laughed, allowing his friends to proceed,” the documents allege.
“They went on to break my expensive horse statue in the yard and put the head of the horse in my bed, Godfather style.”
The Remleys first made headlines after their multi-million dollar equestrian acrobatic show called “Valitar” suddenly closed in 2012, leaving performers and crew in the lurch.
Mark Remley filed for bankruptcy in December 2012 as creditors demanded payment for goods and services the couple ordered for their failed horse-and-acrobatics show, which they had hoped would rival “Cavalia.”
The flashy couple — who were married for 12 years — still led a lavish lifestyle up to their separation in May, spending sometimes $30,000 in one night, Tatyana Remley said in court documents.
She claimed she “came out of hiding” from her husband and returned to their Del Mar home on July 5 with a friend when the house suddenly caught on fire and “almost burned down.”
She filed for divorce on July 11, but was arrested on Aug. 2 during a sting operation conducted by undercover detectives she allegedly tried to hire to kill her husband.
After Mark Remley, 57, discovered his wife offered a mutual friend $2 million to murder him, the entrepreneur went to police himself, which mobilized the sting operation, San Diego Sheriff’s officials said.
Tatyana Remley, 42, has been charged with solicitation of murder, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.
Before she was arrested, Tatyana Remley asked a divorce judge to order her husband to pay $15,000 per month in spousal support. She said since she has not worked in years and now has to support herself and has plans to go to medical school.
The former couple did not have any children together but raised each other’s from previous marriages.
“Respondent and I lived a very comfortable lifestyle, however, I was financially dependent on Respondent for the entirety of our relationship, spanning over fourteen years,” Tatyana Remley wrote in her declaration.
“Since separation, Respondent has not only verbally and physically threatened me, but he has cut off my access to funds.”
She also claimed her husband’s friends stole over $250,000 worth of property from their home, including her handbags, shoes and her goats and parrots.
The glamorous equestrian “ran everything” and Mark Remley “followed her around … like a sniveling, scared puppy,” Erik Martonovich, a showman who worked with his wife told The Daily Mail.
“She was very, ‘Look at how pretty I am,’” Martonovich added. “The persona she wanted to portray to the world was that she’s like some gorgeous Russian supermodel. And maybe a supermodel with a touch of Barbie.
“I don’t think she’s actually Russian, and she’s not a supermodel. But I’m pretty sure what she’s good at is being a gold digger.”
Martonovich also claimed he once walked in on the warring couple during a fight and saw a mark on Mark Remley’s face. “It looked like she slapped him, maybe,” he said.
Tatyana Remley, however, claimed in her declaration that she was the victim of “extreme threats of physical violence” from her husband, alleging that he pulled a knife on her and also put a gun to her head in front of one of their employees.
She begged the divorce judge to allow her back onto the Del Mar property during the divorce so she could stay at a trailer since the home is still damaged from the July fire.
Tatyana Remley also claimed her husband had severe mental health issues, suffers from cocaine addiction and is still living a lavish lifestyle with over $8 million in assets.
She remains in a San Diego jail and is scheduled to appear in criminal court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 16.
