Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter’s order at Pellegrino 2000 that warranted a $200 tip
Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter dined at a swanky Italian restaurant during their tour stop in Sydney.
The popstars headed to Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills on Tuesday night, causing a stir among stunned diners.
The pair spent $620 ($408 USD) on the dinner, which included focaccia, olives, and an array of small pasta dishes, according to Kyle and Jackie O’s producer “Intern Pete”, who managed to catch a glimpse of the receipt.
They left a generous $300 ($198 USD) tip for staff, despite tipping not being expected in Australia.
It was the first time the 34-year-old megastar has been spotted since arriving in Sydney on Monday.
She has been lying low at her accommodation, which is thought to be Crown Sydney.
She will take the stage on Friday for her first Sydney show of her Eras Tour.
Swift will perform four shows in the city before jetting off to Singapore, which will be her next tour stop.
There is growing excitement that her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, may make an appearance at her Sydney shows.
Kelce hinted at travel plans on his podcast New Heights last week, saying he would “venture to an island real soon.”
He also said he would not be appearing on this week’s episode alongside his brother Jason Kelce, leading fans to speculate that he would be in Australia and unable to record the show.
Speaking live with Today on Tuesday morning, Travis’ dad Ed Kelce said he heard the rumours his son was going to travel south to visit Swift on her Australian tour.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he does,” he told the morning show hosts.
“I actually called him a little while ago and my understanding is he’s on a golf course someplace right now.
“He plays a lot of golf, but it’s mostly in these charity events and I think that’s what he’s wrapped up [with] now.”
Kelce was spotted on Sunday playing virtual golf with friends in Parkville, Missouri — not far from Kansas.
