Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spark wildly diverse celeb reactions

Superstar Taylor Swift and Super Bowl champ Travis Kelce have dominated the headlines recently as gossip of a potential romance swirl around them.

Rumors that the “Anti-Hero” songstress and Kelce, both 33, had become a couple were further fueled when Swift made an appearance at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Chicago Bears.

The pair were later spotted leaving the game together and getting cozy at a local restaurant.

In a recent interview, Kelce revealed that while he would love to continue things with Swift he also wants “to respect both of our lives.”

“She’s not in the media as much as I am doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows,” said the tight end. “I’m enjoying life, and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend.”

“Everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports … will kind of have to be where I keep it,” said Kelce.

Patrick Mahomes

Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes jokingly claimed following Sunday’s game that he felt “pressured” to give the ball to Kelce upon learning that Swift was in the stands.

“I heard that she was in the house,” Mahomes, 28, joked in a post-game interview Sunday night. “I felt a little bit of pressure.”

“I knew I had to get it to Trav,” the quarterback continued. “He does his own thing and just makes up a route and I throw it to him. I think he wanted to get in the end zone as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”

Mahomes stated that while he didn’t get to meet Swift after the game, he hopes that one day he’ll get the opportunity.

Andy Reid

The Chief’s head coach Andy Reid recently joked that he played matchmaker between the 12-time Grammy winner and Kelce.

“You know what, I’ve met her before,” Reid, 65, said during Sunday’s post-game interview. “I set them up. I’ll just leave you with that,”

Following the statement the coach refused to answer any more questions and left the podium.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick seemed to be “Enchanted” by the blossoming romance during an appearance on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show.”

“Swiftie to Swiftie,” said Courtney Cox, a co-host on the show. “It seems like they may be the new ‘it’ couple, where do you fall on that?”

“Well, I would say that Travis Kelce has had a lot of big catches in his career,” Belichick said. “This would be the biggest.”

Swift’s appearance at Sunday’s game has apparently turned the official National Football League’s TikTok into a Swiftie.

The league’s account was updated after the game to read “9/24/23 Taylor was here.”

Swifties have returned the love by sending the number of Kelce jersey sales soaring “over 400%” since the game.

Maya Benberry

Not everyone was thrilled with the news that Swift and Kelce had become “Lovers.”

Maya Benberry, who dated the NFL star from 2017 to 2022, warned Swift that her ex-beau might just be filling in a “Blank Space.”

She previously accused the two-time Super Bowl champ of cheating on her with sports broadcaster and model Kayla Nicole in a series of since-deleted tweets.

“When you and your ex broke up five months ago but you find out via social media that he’s supposedly been in another relationship for 6,” wrote Benberry, 31.

A source later told TMZ that Benberry’s tweets are “A poor excuse of someone trying to get her 15 min of fame.”

The insider also claimed the duo only dated for a month after winning the reality competition “Catching Kece” and that the tight end never cheated.

On Monday, she also “liked” a comment on her Instagram of a fan calling Swift a “5.”

Bethenny Frankel

The ever-controversial Bethenny Frankel slammed the potential couple on Wednesday saying that Swift went “full football wife.”

Posting her thoughts in a TikTok on Tuesday, the ex-Real Housewife, 52, admitted she was not a Taylor Swift fan” but has “tremendous respect” for her.

“It felt like the Chia Pet of a relationship,” lambasted Frankel. “Like, just add water. Like, they were together for 10 years. Like, she’s a full football wife. … She literally looked like she had been in a serious relationship with this guy for decades.”
