Taylor Swift fans burst into song on packed plane
Singing Taylor Swift fans now have “Bad Blood” with annoyed social media users.
Several airplane passengers who were attempting to leave Colorado along with Swifties who attended the coveted “Eras” Tour on Sunday were treated to an impromptu singalong after their Southwest flight was delayed for several hours.
The now-viral TikTok, which has racked up 1.7 million views, captured the performance of the singer’s 2008 hit “Love Story.”
According to the video, the flight was full of “Swifties” heading back to Salt Lake City after the “You Belong With Me” singer’s first night in the Centennial state.
In the video, several fans can be heard belting the love ballad as crew members played the track over the plane’s speakers while other fans attempted to capture the moment on their cell phones.
TikToker Hannah Hazlett revealed in the comments that the sing-a-long began after the flight crew noticed that many of the passengers sported Taylor Swift merchandise.
“We were delayed for hours and haven’t taken off yet so the flight attendants noticed everyone in their merch and started playing music,” wrote Hazlett.
The Post reached out to Swift and Southwest Airlines for comment.
Since the video went viral, some social media users have developed “Bad Blood” over the airplane antics.
“I would have to ask to be put on a different plane. I just wanna fly not listen to a bunch of women sing,” said one disgruntled TikTok user.
“HELL no,” simply stated a second person on Twitter.
“I would’ve been so PISSED if I was on that plane,” tweeted a third person.
“There isn’t enough Xanax in the world for me to survive this,” commented a fourth person.
Many of the other commenters expressed their appreciation for the singalong.
“Taylor Swift really is THAT powerful,” laughed one user.
“This is epic,” stated a second person.
“Imagine the 1 person on this plane who has no idea what’s going on,” giggled a third user.
“The way I would’ve started to give everyone friendship bracelets,” a fourth person stated.
