Taylor Swift officially declared a billionaire: 2024 Forbes list

“Bad Blood”? More like big bucks.

After a year of boffo successes — a massive concert tour, a hit movie and setting a Grammys record — Taylor Swift is now officially a billionaire.

Forbes released its 2024 World’s Billionaires List on Tuesday, and the “Anti-Hero” singer made the cut for the very first time with an estimated fortune of $1.1 billion. The publication credits her ever-exploding music career and real estate portfolio for her income boost.

The 34-year-old pop star joins 2,780 other mega-rich individuals who are collectively worth $14.2 trillion.

Another newcomer, somewhat surprisingly, is former NBA player Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who’s amassed about $1.2 billion investing in sports teams, Starbucks franchises, real estate and other valuable assets.

Swift’s name being added by Forbes, however, comes as no great shock.

Her massively popular Eras Tour, which began on March 17, 2023 in Arizona and will continue through December, last year became the first tour to ever gross at least $1 billion, according to Pollstar.

Her team then filmed several concerts during the tour for an October 2023 movie theater release, which grossed an additional $261.6 million worldwide. Add to that the reported $75 million Disney paid for the streaming rights to the movie to slap it on their Disney+ service.

Harder to ascribe a value to, but no less headline-making, were the “Shake It Off” singer’s other professional achievements — and personal life developments.

In December, Time magazine named Swift their 2023 Person of the Year, joining past recipients such as presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump and Pope Francis.

Then in February, at the 2024 Grammy Awards, Swift broke a record by winning her fourth Album of the Year prize for “Midnights.” She topped legends Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon, all of whom are tied with three victories in the category.

She even became relevant to the sports world when she began dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in September 2023.

The team went to the Super Bowl in February and won for the second time in a row, while Swift excitedly watched from a private box with pals such as Blake Lively and Ice Spice.

Her private, 12-hour flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas to make it in the nick of time received practically as much media attention as the big game itself.
