Tekashi 6ix9ine dons bulletproof vest, helmet for hearing on domestic violence charges

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was conditionally released from his Dominican Republic jail cell Thursday after he was arrested last week on domestic violence charges.

The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, was ordered to pay a $510 deposit, undergo government counseling and meet with authorities every two months until they wrapped up their investigation into allegations that he assaulted his girlfriend, a Dominican rapper known as “Yailín la Más Viral.”

The “Fefe” singer was seen in videos lunging at the woman, who retaliated with blows of her own and tears in her eyes.

Yailín, whose real name is whose real name is Jeorjina Guillermo-Diaz, was also arrested for her role in the brawl. She was released after Hernández posted her $9,000 bail.

Hernández, 27, was ushered into court shackled at the wrists and wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet. He was escorted by a swarm of police.

His attorney accused prosecutors of “fabricating” evidence against his client.

Guillermo-Diaz had not reported the domestic violence complaint herself, which prosecutor Ana Andrea Villa Camacho said was typical of victims.

“We know perfectly well why victims do not file a complaint, why victims recant,” she said, requesting that Hernández remain held.

Hernández told police after his arrest that Guillermo-Diaz had hit him and his car multiple times, showing them the video footage as proof.

Guillermo-Diaz reportedly admitted to hitting the car “to cause him financial hardship” because she was upset that he had allegedly taken money and her passport from her.

She later took to Instagram claiming Hernández has a history of domestic violence, reposting a tweet that alleged the “Trollz” rapper hit his girlfriend first and would then record her when she retaliated.

The judge, Fátima Veloz, ultimately allowed the rapper conditional freedom and also issued protection orders for both sides.

Reps for Hernández did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The domestic violence arrest is just the latest in a string of criminal complaints against the rapper, and his second arrest in the Dominican Republic.

He was arrested in October for assaulting two music producers at a seaside hotel in the Dominican Republic, where he and Guillermo-Diaz were recording a song — six months after he was assaulted by several people at a gym in Florida.

Hernández was also previously accused in the US of using a violent gang as his “personal hit squad,” but avoided jail time after providing testimony about the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang, which operates on the East Coast.

In 2015, Hernández also pleaded guilty to one count of use of a child in a sexual performance. The incident involved physical contact with a 13-year-old girl, and Hernández received a four-year probation period.

But just three years later, he was again arrested on racketeering and other weapons and drug charges, under which he could have faced a minimum of 47 years in prison.

Instead, prosecutors cut him a deal in which he pleaded guilty to nine charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, and he was sentenced to just two years in prison.

Hernández was then let out of jail in April 2020 amid the pandemic because he suffers from asthma, and was placed under house arrest.

He finished his sentence in August 2020.
