Texas shooter Salvador Ramos attacked after fight with grandma

The Robb Elementary School shooter went on the deadly rampage after fighting with his grandmother about his failure to graduate from his Texas high school, according to a report.

A neighbor of Salvador Ramos told local news channel Newsy that the 18-year-old got into an argument with his grandmother, whom he shot before going on the killing spree that left 19 kids and two teachers dead.

The family friend, identified by the outlet as Eduardo Trinidad, said Ramos was upset he was not going to graduate from Uvalde High School.

“He got into an argument with the grandmother and she was screaming, ‘He shot me! He shot me!’ and then he got in the car, zoomed down the street, there was some kind of crash, according to Mr. Trinidad,” Newsy reporter John Mone said.

“The suspect got out, he had two weapons, and then started engaging gunfire,” he added.

Salvador Ramos was reportedly upset he was not going to graduate from Uvalde High School.

Ramos’ grandmother was listed in critical condition, Sgt. Erick Estrada of the Texas Department of Public Safety told CNN late Tuesday.

Uvalde High School’s graduation day is listed as Friday on its website, where the top 10 students are appear in photos on the home page.

“We are excited to share one of the greatest days in a young person’s life with you, your families, friends, and relatives,” the commencement message reads.

“As a primary preventative strategy for addressing the problems of violence, vandalism, disruptions and fear, UCISD has proponents to curb and/or eliminate these elements from our school so that we may provide a safe and secure environment for all,” the school says on a page titled “Preventative Security Measures.”

At least 19 kids and two teachers were killed in the slaughter, the worst school shooting in US history since the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre, which left 26 kids dead.
