Highlights across the range
Sony WF-1000XM4 deals
The Sony WF-1000XM4 are our top pick for the best earbuds you can buy, boasting the best noise cancellation of any true wireless earbuds. They offer phenomenal sound quality as well as an excellent battery and can even be charged wirelessly via the included charging case. Although we’ve seen them sell for as low as $218, they’re available at Amazon, Target, and Best Buy right now for $228 to $229.99, nearly 20 percent off the MSRP of $279.99. At that price, they’re an easy recommendation.
Sony WF-C500 deals
If you’re looking for a pair of Sony earbuds that are more budget-friendly, consider the Sony WF-C500. These affordable earbuds came out at the end of 2021, and they prove their worth with good sound quality, excellent battery life, and very aggressive pricing. You may not get active noise cancellation or wireless charging with these earbuds, but they remain an exceptional value. Currently, they are available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target for around $68, a modest discount on their $99.99 price tag.
Sony LinkBuds deals
The Sony LinkBuds are a clear departure from conventional earbuds, using an “open-style,” donut-shaped design instead of the more typical silicone ear tips. This allows for better spatial awareness and, for some people, a more comfortable fit. And the LinkBuds provide crisp sound quality and excellent voice call performance. (Though, as a result of their design, they aren’t very practical in louder environments.) Possibly the coolest feature, though, are the controls, which allow you to tap the side of your head to control them instead of the earbud itself. They’re certainly very Sony.
Normally running $179.99, you can currently get a pair for $149.99 at Target or for $158 to $159.99 at Amazon and Best Buy. These are the lowest prices we’ve seen yet for these unique earbuds that are still pretty fresh on the market.
Apple AirPods Pro deals
If you own an iPhone or multiple Apple products, the AirPods Pro are likely the best true wireless earbuds on the market for you. Unlike the base AirPods, the latest Pros offer better sound quality and feature active noise cancellation, not to mention seamless integration with iOS and a MagSafe-compatible charging case.
While the AirPods Pro carry a lofty $249.99 price tag, they also go on sale rather frequently. During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, for instance, we saw them drop as low as $160. They’re no longer available at that price, but you can get a pair with the MagSafe charging case for $197 at Amazon and Walmart. Frankly, that price is nothing to write home about, but considering how often the Pros are on sale, you should try not to spend more than that on them.
Apple AirPods (second-gen) deals
Alternatively, you can buy a pair of second-generation AirPods — now the entry-level model — with either a wired or wireless charging case. The base AirPods normally retail for $129, but you can currently get the version with the wired charging case for $118.98 at Amazon or Walmart. We see them dip to $99 with some frequency, and they’ve even gone as low as $89 around the holidays.
If you prefer a little more convenience, you can also get a pair of the second-gen AirPods with a Qi-compatible wireless charging case for a few dollars more. Apple no longer sells the wireless configuration — and they’ve become increasingly difficult to find online — but you can still get them for $159.99 instead of $199.99 at Best Buy. Though, at that price, it’s advisable to consider the newer, third-gen AirPods with a refreshed design and included wireless charging case.
Apple AirPods (third-gen) deals
Last on the AirPods block is the recent third-gen model, the latest addition to the AirPods lineup. The earbuds blend a bit of the AirPods Pro look with the hard, plastic build of the second-gen model and come with a MagSafe-compatible charging case. They also offer IPX4 water resistance, improved sound quality, and retail for $179.
We’ve seen the third-gen AirPods on sale for as low as $140, and they are currently available for $149.99 at Amazon, Target, and Walmart. That’s a full $30 off their regular retail price, and if you like the newer design and MagSafe charging, it’s definitely worth considering over the aging second-gen version.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro deals
Samsung has a few different wireless earbuds to choose from, including its latest flagship wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Pro. These earbuds include active noise cancellation and some of the best sound quality of any Samsung earbuds to date.
During Black Friday, the Galaxy Buds Pro were more than $50 off, bringing the price down to around $150 — nearly an all-time low — in select colorways. Though, Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung are currently close to that price, selling them in all colors for $159.99.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 deals
Samsung released the Galaxy Buds 2 — a good-sounding pair of earbuds with active noise cancellation, wireless charging, and a subtle design — in August of 2021, and we’ve seen plenty of discounts since then at retailers like Woot and Amazon. Right now, for instance, you can get them at Woot for $99.99, their lowest price to date. While these are in new condition, they only carry a 90-day warranty from Woot. If that gives you pause, you can also buy them in select colors at Amazon, Target, B&H Photo, or Best Buy with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty for $109.99.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live deals
The Galaxy Buds Live are some of the more unconventional wireless earbuds on the market right now, but don’t let their bean-shaped design fool you. The Buds Live are a good option if you want earbuds that produce powerful sound and showcase marathon battery life. Right now, you can purchase a pair of the Galaxy Buds Live from Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Samsung for $99.99 ($70 off), which is nearly their lowest price to date.
Jabra Elite 85t deals
In 2020, Jabra released the Elite 85t wireless earbuds, which are the highest-tier model in Jabra’s current lineup. They provide more advanced noise cancellation than the last-gen Elite 75t, however, they also feature less bass and an inferior fit. Like the rest of the models in Jabra’s current lineup, they even offer a rare feature that has yet to become standard in the true wireless earbud market: the ability to connect to two devices concurrently.
Right now, you can buy the Jabra Elite 85t at Amazon for around $185 instead of $229.99 when you choose the copper and black color combo. That’s not as good of a deal as their all-time low of $139.99, but it’s about a $45 discount. Best Buy and GameStop also have them for a bit more at $199.99, with Best Buy extending the discount to the gold and beige model.
Jabra Elite 3 deals
The Jabra Elite 3, one of the newer models from Jabra, are also available right now at a sizeable discount. In his review, The Verge’s Chris Welch noted that even though the Jabra Elite 3 shed features like active noise cancellation and multipoint Bluetooth support, they still provide an excellent listening experience at a relatively low price point. Normally $79.99, the earbuds are currently on sale at Amazon and Best Buy in all colorways for just $59.99 — their lowest price.
Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 2 deals
Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 2 are another pair of excellent noise-canceling earbuds that are currently on sale. As noted in our review, the earbuds offer great ANC performance, customizable controls, and sound that can nearly match that of a premium pair of noise-canceling over-ear headphones. This does come at a fairly steep regular price of $299.95, and, now, there’s a new model that delivers more features for $249.95. So it’s possible we’ll see the Momentum True Wireless 2 get phased out soon.
In the meantime, the Momentum True Wireless 2 hasn’t hit fire sale pricing just yet, but you can get them right now for $199.99 ($100 off) direct from Sennheiser as well as Best Buy. We’ve seen them dip slightly lower in the past, so perhaps they may go cheaper if retailers have enough leftover stock.
Beats Powerbeats Pro deals
If you’re currently in the market for a reliable pair of wireless earbuds for your workouts, it’s hard to go wrong with the predecessor to the Studio Buds, the Beats Powerbeats Pro. These earbuds from 2019 sport an over-ear hook that keeps them in place while you’re exercising; they also offer IPX4 sweat- and water-resistant, meaning you don’t have to worry about ruining them should your workout get intense.
Typically $249.95, the Beats Powerbeats Pro are on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and the official Beats storefront, all of which are also selling them in several colors for around $180. That’s not the lowest price we’ve seen the PowerBeats Pro go for — they were on sale for around $150 throughout most of November and December — but it’s still a hefty discount on what would otherwise be a $250 pair of earbuds.
UE Fits deals
After testing a pair for ourselves, we remarked in our review that the UE Fits were the most comfortable consumer earbuds on the market. That’s because, unlike the other wireless earbuds on this list, the UE Fits are uniquely capable of permanently molding to the shape of your ears in just 60 seconds, making them a great choice for those concerned their earbuds may come loose or fall out. We also found that they offer good sound quality, as well as lengthy, eight-hour battery life. Normally $199.99, you can get them right now for just $169 direct from Ultimate Ears in gray, midnight blue, and lilac.
