‘The Daily Show’ reveals hosts after Trevor Noah departure
The laughs will keep on coming.
“The Daily Show” Tuesday released its hilarious lineup of A-list guest hosts who will take over the show once Trevor Noah departs this week, reports Deadline.
“As we enter Trevor’s final week, we want to thank him for his many contributions,“ said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Paramount Media Networks, in a statement.
“Trevor redefined the show, as did Jon Stewart before him, and as we look to the future, we are excited to reimagine it yet again with the help of this incredible list of talent and correspondents along with the immensely talented ‘Daily Show’ team.”
Noah’s last day will be Thursday and the show is slated to come back to its 11 p.m. timeslot on Comedy Central Jan. 17.
Beginning on that date, Al Franken, Chelsea Handler, D. L. Hughley, Leslie Jones, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Penn, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes and Marlon Wayans will host the show a week at a time.
The Post reached out to Comedy Central for comment.
Comedy Central is still looking for someone to fill the spot permanently and start in the fall of 2023.
The show said that it would potentially be open to expanding the number of anchors.
Noah announced his departure in September, saying that he believed it was time for him to depart and explore new ground. The 38-year-old assured audiences that he would not leave until a replacement host was announced.
