The most savage Queen Camilla coronation memes
Royally funny — or royally cruel?
King Charles was officially crowned over the weekend at his extravagant coronation at London’s Westminster Abbey, alongside his wife Camilla, now queen.
The celebrations took place in front of the royal family and 2,000 invited guests, marking the first time since the late Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953 that Britain crowned a new monarch.
While the crowning event was a momentous, once-in-a-generation occasion, many took the opportunity to poke fun at the royals — namely Camilla, who became the subject of many savage jokes.
Many memes declared Camilla, 75, “the ultimate side chick” saying she’s “giving hope to side chicks everywhere,” in reference to her affair with Charles, which began in 1986.

“All you side chicks have hope. This one became queen,” another wrote, along with a picture of a smiling Camilla.
Others were bold and straight to the point, directly comparing Camilla to Charles’ first wife, Princess Diana, who tragically died at 36 in a car accident in 1997.
Others compared the royals being crowned to the sorting hat scene from “Harry Potter,” with people simply writing “Slytherin” — the evilest of Hogwart’s houses — alongside a picture of Camilla.
Whether they were applauding her ultimate side-chick win or snidely commenting on her fashion choices. there was no shortage of memes — or drama — from the weekend.
King Charles’ youngest son, Prince Harry, 38, traveled to London for the coronation, while his wife, Meghan Markle, 41, stayed at home in California with their children: Princess Lilibet, 1, and Prince Archie, who turned 4 on the day of his grandfather’s coronation.
His 28-hour stay before racing home raised some eyebrows from people who wondered why the estranged prince even bothered to show.
