‘The ugly part of football’ – Gavi suffers potentially serious knee injury
“Barcelona midfielder Gavi picked up what could be a serious knee injury in Spain’s 3-1 win over Georgia in Euro 2024 qualifying. The 19-year-old left the pitch in tears when he was substituted in the first half of the game. Head coach Luis de la Fuente said Gavi’s injury made them feel like they had “lost” and called it both a “bitter victory” and the “ugly part of football”.”
