‘The View’ star Alyssa Farah Griffin questioned by Jan. 6 riot prosecutors

Alyssa Farah Griffin was told to give her own “view” of the events.

Former Donald Trump associate Alyssa Farah Griffin reportedly met with prosecutors investigating the attack on the United States Capitol that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021, reports CNN.

“The interview was focused primarily on former President Donald Trump, his state of mind and what he knew about the baseless claims of widespread election fraud he was pushing leading up to the January 6 attack,” said a source close to Griffin, adding that the “View” star would “help prosecutors by providing first-hand accounts of times Trump seemed to acknowledge he lost the election.”

One source told CNN that the talk show host was surprised over the prosecution’s focus on Trump’s mindset after the election.

News of Griffin, 33, meeting with the special counsel comes after former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, 63, testified before a federal grand jury.

The Post reached out to “The View” star for comment.

This is not the first time that the former communications director has been interviewed due to her connection to the former president.

In 2022, Griffin testified in front of the House Select Committee investigating January 6 that Trump, 73, acknowledged his loss to then-President-elect Joe Biden, 80, prior to the rally that lead to the riot.

“I popped into the Oval (Office) just to, like, give the president the headlines and see how he was doing,” said Griffin according to transcripts. “And he was looking at the TV and he said, ‘Can you believe I lost to this effing guy?’ And then just kind of moved forward. [But in that moment I think he knew he lost.’”

“But I believe now, I think he thinks it was stolen from him,” continued the reality star. “I think there’s a level of delusion, of confirmation bias, of surrounding himself by only information that matches what he wants to hear and believe. And I really do think he believes it was stolen. I think many people around him do as well.”

Griffin, who resigned from her post in December 2020, later called on her former boss to condemn the insurrection.

“Condemn this now,@realDonaldTrump – you are the only one they will listen to. For our country,” tweeted Griffin in the wake of the riot.

Griffin’s political stances have also created a lot of conflict with her “View” co-stars.

Recently, the former Trump staffer got into a heated argument with co-host Sunny Hostin, 54, who slammed Griffin during Wednesday’s “Hot Topic” debate over Mike Pence’s 2024 presidential run.

“What scares me, Alyssa, is that you are incapable of defending a man that you worked for,” the legal expert said. “I don’t need to hear more from Pence, for several reasons.”

Griffin, who worked for Pence from 2017 to 2019, attempted to respond but was cut off by Hostin who continued to slam the former Indiana Governor.

“No, I’m going to finish what I’m going to say … the thing about Pence here is, when I lived in Indiana and I went to Notre Dame, he had a terrible approval rating because of the way he treated the AIDS crisis,”  continued the author. “Awful. A lot of people died because of him, a lot of people died because of how he handled the COVID crisis.”

Griffin once again attempted a rebuttal, but the conversation devolved into each host throwing accusations around before moderator Whoopi Goldberg, 67, threw the show to commercial break.
