TikTok stars break fast food Guinness World Record

They took a bite out of the Big Apple — and set a world record. 

Food-loving social media stars Nick DiGiovanni, 26, and Lynn Davis, 66, broke a Guinness World Record on Aug. 10 by visiting 69 fast food restaurants, all in Manhattan, in 24 hours. They bit off far more than the previous record of 50 restaurants.

“I personally love fast food and so we thought, ‘What’s something that a lot of people will get a kick out of?’ We went to every classic restaurant you know of and New York was a great place to do it,” said DiGiovanni, a “MasterChef” finalist from Boston.

The duo had to purchase and consume one food or drink item at each fast food location and also submit GPS coordinates for every restaurant for Guinness’ verification purposes. They were joined by an administrator from Guinness World Records to keep track along the way.

“There’s going to be a lot of jaywalking today,” DiGiovanni quipped to Davis, who hails from New Jersey and is a TikTok-famous chef, in a YouTube video chronicling the journey.

The food fest started at 8:30 a.m. at McDonald’s in Times Square with a McGriddle and hashbrowns.

They then made their way to various chains, consuming everything from Starbucks cold brew and a Subway footlong to Krispy Kreme donuts and a Five Guys burger.

“My back is killing me,” Davis gripes in the video by their 21st restaurant stop. 

But the pain resulted in gain. They hit the previous record of 50 restaurants after just seven hours and 15 minutes — and 8 miles of traveling on foot. They kept on going to reach the final tally of 69 restaurants in the course of a day. It was ultimately more food than they could consume themselves.

“We donated a lot along the way,” DiGiovanni told The Post.

The unexpected duo met on social media when Davis’ son and videographer Tim Davis reached out to DiGiovanni in 2020 in the early days of the pandemic.

“[Nick] had seen our videos and he came down to New Jersey and we made a cake pop together … that’s how it all started,” Davis told The Post. “It was a lot bigger than the Starbucks cake pop. It was maybe 5 inches in diameter.”

The duo then decided to break the Guinness record for the largest cake pop, ultimately creating a nearly 100-pound confection last November. Then, this past June, they set a record by churning out the “World’s Largest Chicken Nugget.” 

Along the way, they’ve also created a strong bond.

“He’s very creative and very funny. It’s his sense of humor. I really enjoy it,” Davis said. “I’m so fond of him.”
