Tina Turner’s son Ronnie dead at 62

Tina Turner’s son Ronald “Ronnie” Turner died Thursday. He was 62.

Police received a 911 call Thursday morning to conduct a death investigation from an individual located nearby Ronnie’s Encino home, the LAPD confirmed to The Post. Ronnie, the biological son of Tina and late ex-husband Ike Turner, was reportedly struggling to breathe when an individual found him outside of their home. Moments later the queen of rock and roll’s son stopped breathing entirely, according to TMZ.

Paramedics rushed to the San Fernando Valley location and attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ronnie’s widow, Afida Turner, confirmed the news on Instagram.

“My god Ronnie turner a true angel hiuge [sic] soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby iyour [sic] mummy your nurse i did the best to the end this time i was no [sic] able to save you love u for this 17 years this is very very very bad i am very mad 😡,” she captioned a carousel of photos of her late husband.

“This is a tragedy u with your brother craig and your father ike turner and aline rest in paradise 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️😭😭💔💔 so unfair,” she added.

While Ronnie reportedly suffered from health issues, including cancer, it’s unclear what caused the medical emergency. An examination from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office is pending, a representative told The Post.

Ronnie’s death is the second devastating loss for the retired singer, who has four children. Tina’s oldest son, Craig, died by suicide in 2018 at 59.

Authorities told Page Six at the time the singer’s son fatally shot himself and he was pronounced dead at his Studio City, Calif., residence.

The “Proud Mary” songstress, who turned 83 on Nov. 26, born Anna Mae Bullock, endured a lifetime of adversity from childhood neglect to abuse she faced in the public eye. After becoming the lead singer of ex-husband Ike Turner’s rhythm and blues band, Kings of Rhythm, when they met at a St. Louis nightclub by chance in 1957, their music career spiraled into a toxic romance. She experienced abuse while pregnant with Ronnie at the time. Ike died in 2007 at age 76.

Decades following her toxic marriage, which ended in 1976, the Tennessee-born mega star survived a stroke, cancer and organ transplant. In her documentary, she admitted she “didn’t spend a lot of time” with her four sons.

“I suffered but Ike didn’t,” she says in one clip about the separation from her kids. “It was my pain because I wanted more time. I knew that they needed more.”
