Tom Sandoval claims he was ‘very very close’ to suicide amid Scandoval

Tom Sandoval is getting real about how his affair with Raquel Leviss impacted his mental health.

The 40-year-old “Vanderpump Rules” star launched his own podcast, “Everybody Loves Tom,” on Thursday, and addressed his highly publicized infidelity — deemed Scandoval — earlier this year when he cheated on his girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, with Leviss.

Sandoval recalled meeting Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington days before he died by suicide in July 2017 and admitted he “never understood” how someone could take their own life until the world tuned in to his downfall.

“When you get into that headspace, it’s like it’s a domino effect,” Sandoval said.

“Your world just starts collapsing itself and you cannot see outside of your feelings. Your peripheral goes away, your sense of thinking about the future — like, ‘Oh come on,’” he snapped his fingers, taking his time with his explanation.

“Your ability to snap out of it goes away.”

“There were some times where I felt very, very close [to suicide],” he revealed.

The villainized bartender, who has been sober from alcohol since May, credited his friends for getting him through his “dark” times.

One bad day in particular, the Bravolebrity recalled, was when Madix was filming a commercial for Duracell batteries at the home he still shares with his ex. Sandoval previously roasted his former lover for not doing helpful things for the house, like buying batteries.

“That was rough,” he admitted.

Leviss quit “Vanderpump Rules” after checking into a trauma center to seek treatment for her mental health earlier this year. Sandoval, however, is still filming.

She and her pro partner Pasha Pashkov wowed fans and the judges alike, tying for the second-highest score of the night with “I’m Yours” singer Jason Mraz and pro Daniella Karagach.
