Tracking the full winners list

Razzle dazzle has returned to Broadway for the Tony Awards 2022.

After the coronavirus pandemic pushed the 2021 ceremony to the Winter Garden Theatre last fall, the red carpet and glittery statuettes are back on Sunday, June 12, at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”) is hosting the 75th main ceremony, kicking off at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Darren Criss (“American Buffalo”) and Julianne Hough (“POTUS”), meanwhile, are hosting an hour-long pre-show — titled “The Tony Awards: Act One” — that includes an hour of performances and early honors streaming on Paramount+.

“A Strange Loop” leads the nominations with 11 total, while the Michael Jackson musical “MJ” and the play “Paradise Square” each have 10 nods. “Company” and “The Lehman Trilogy” follow with nine and eight nods, respectively, while “for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf” garnered five.

Among the top Great White Way nominees are “The Music Man” co-stars Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, Billy Crystal (“Mr. Saturday Night”), Sam Rockwell (“American Buffalo”), Phylicia Rashad (“Skeleton Crew”) and Matt Doyle (“Company”). Lots of other A-listers, alas, were snubbed.

In addition, five-time Tony-winner Angela Lansbury, 96, is set to receive a sixth, special award for lifetime achievement. She was previously honored for her performances in musicals and plays including “Blithe Spirit” (2009), “Sweeney Todd” (1979), “Gypsy” (1975), “Dear World” (1969) and “Mame” (1966).
