Travis Barker and ‘clone’ wax figure creeping out pals: ‘Holy s–t’
We’re seeing double.
Blink-182’s Travis Barker went viral Sunday after the drummer posted an Instagram photo with his wax figure from Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas.
The picture, which has accumulated 566,000 likes since being shared, shows Barker, 47, standing next to the nearly identical wax model.
“Come say hi to my clone,” Barker captioned the post.
Barker’s double is dressed in a black leather jacket with a layered chain necklace and displayed with a neutral-looking expression.
Several fans were quick to comment how lifelike the wax figure was to the real-life drummer.
“Looks like the guy in the red shirt [is] bothering you,” one fan wrote.
“Wait what is this the best one I ever seen,” a second user added.
“This has got to be the most accurate wax figure in history,” a third fan gasped.
“Holy s–t,” singer Avril Lavigne commented. “Couldn’t tell which one was you haha.”
The unveiling of Barker’s “clone” comes mere days after one wax museum in France was slammed for its Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson figure.
Johnson’s statue, which debuted at Grévin Museum in Paris, left several fans unhappy when it appeared to be a lot more paler than the actual actor and also displayed off-center facial features.
“They forgot to bake at 400°F for 10 mins until golden brown,” a fan wrote on social media.
“They whitewashed the Rock,”a second person on X (formerly Twitter) snickered.
“When The Rock and Vin Diesel had a kid,” a third user on X added.
“That ain’t the rock that’s Mr. Clean,” another user joked.
Barker, meanwhile, is currently in recovery after sustaining a bloody hand injury while touring in England with his band last week.
Posting on his Instagram Story, the musician showed off several bloody fingers and scabs, which was later flagged as “sensitive content” on the platform.
In a second Story, Barker showed off his blood-stained pants.
Barker and “Kardashians” star Kourtney Kardashian are currently counting down the days until the arrival of their baby boy.
Kardashian — who revealed her pregnancy in June — said that a recent ultrasound “saved [her] baby’s life,” which led to an emergency fetal surgery.
“That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn’t know about in the past. It was terrifying,” Kardashian, 44, told Vogue, adding she had “no idea … insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you’re pregnant.”
She concluded: “I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it’s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.”
