Trump berates Biden ahead of expected 2024 announcement: ‘Most corrupt president’

Former President Donald Trump lambasted President Biden as the “most corrupt president in American history” on Monday in a message to supporters on the eve of the commander-in-chief’s expected 2024 re-election campaign launch.

The blistering statement from Trump, 76, on Biden’s anticipated announcement calls it “inconceivable” that the 80-year-old president would seek re-election based on his record.

“You could take the five worst presidents in American history, and put them together, and they would not have done the damage Joe Biden has done to our Nation in just a few short years. Not even close,” Trump states.

The former president went on to hammer Biden for record inflation, failing banks, a “crashing” US dollar, high gas prices and falling real wages, which Trump attributes to Biden’s “socialist spending calamity.”

Trump then touted his record, specifically on the border, describing it as “the most secure border in US history” under his watch, and contrasted it with the chaos at the border under Biden.

“Under Biden, the Southern Border has been abolished — and millions of illegal aliens have been released into our communities. What’s happening now is beyond belief. They’re coming in from mental institutions and prisons. They are all being emptied. They are being dumped into the United States of America. Many of these people are very dangerous, they are being dumped. We are like a dumping ground,” Trump argues.

The former president on Monday hit many of the same notes that he’s touched on in recent interviews and posts on his Truth Social account.

He raged against law enforcement being “weaponized against law-abiding conservatives or Republicans, or people they just don’t like,” apparently referring to Democrats, and accused senior military leaders of having “gone completely woke.”

“Biden has totally humiliated our Nation on the world stage — starting with the Afghanistan disaster,” Trump said, calling the US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 “perhaps the most embarrassing event in the history of our country.”

Continuing on foreign policy, Trump adds that “Joe Biden has led us to the very brink of World War III.”

“On top of it all,” Trump continues, “Biden is the most corrupt president in American history — and that’s not even close. Nobody can believe what’s going on, with again no retribution whatsoever.”

Trump accusation of “corruption” comes a week after an IRS whistleblower who supervised the tax investigation of first son Hunter Biden informed Congress that he wants to brief legislators on an alleged coverup featuring “preferential treatment” and alleged false testimony to Congress by Attorney General Merrick Garland about the independence of Delaware US Attorney David Weiss to bring charges without the approval of other DOJ leaders.

In addition, the House Oversight Committee is investigating how Hunter’s overseas business interests benefitted the president’s extended family, with chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) telling Fox News over the weekend that his members were looking at “six specific decisions that Joe Biden made either as vice president or president that are very concerning to us, that we believe could potentially lead back to payments that were made to these LLCs that were then laundered down to the Biden family member.”

Last week, the House Judiciary Committee also revealed that former CIA acting director Mike Morell said in a closed-door deposition that Secretary of State Antony Blinken, at the time a Biden campaign adviser, inspired the letter by 51 former spy agency officials who falsely suggested The Post’s reporting on documents from an abandoned Hunter Biden was the byproduct of Russian misinformation.

In a Truth Social post on Monday, separate from his Biden announcement statement, Trump railed against the media for promoting the 2020 letter from intelligence officials.

“For all of those media fools who say everything was on the up and up with the 2020 Presidential Election, and then go on to report about the 51 Intelligence Agents that wrote a letter spreading Disinformation about Hunter Biden’s famous laptop computer, knowing it was FAKE & TREASONOUS, just days before the Election, you have committed an unpardonable SIN,” Trump wrote, calling it “election fraud.”
