Turkey recovered from being 3-1 down against the Kiwis to steadily build a lead before a single point from the eighth end confirmed their historic maiden win.

Against Korea, they raced into a 5-0 lead after three ends, scoring in six out of the eight ends to put in a dominant performance.

They had recovered well from a heavy 8-2 loss to Switzerland on day five, which also saw Norway edge Sweden 8-7 as New Zealand defeated Germany in a thrilling final end, scoring three to win 11-8.

Scotland moved to three wins in a row on day six as they defeated Norway 9-5, as Switzerland scored four in the final end of their tie with the USA to steal the win 12-9 and qualify for the play-offs.

With sessions of round robin games remaining, Switzerland top the standings with just one defeat and sit equal with Sweden.

Norway are in third, with two losses from their 10 games with the USA and Scotland just behind having played one game fewer, but having also recorded two losses.
