Two Hamas honchos killed in Gaza airstrikes: Israeli military

Two Hamas leaders who orchestrated last week’s terror attack on Israel — including the commander of the murderous paragliders who slaughtered civilians from the air — have themselves been killed in overnight airstrikes, according to the Israeli Air Force.

Murad Abu Murad, the head of the Hamas Air Force, was present when its Gaza City headquarters was destroyed by IAF fighter jets, the Israeli military reported on X in a Saturday statement.

Murad “was largely responsible for directing terrorists during the massacre on Saturday,” according to the post, which included video of the building’s destruction.

A second Hamas honcho, Ali Qadi, was also slain as part of what the IAF called “wide-scale strikes throughout the Gaza Strip” against “dozens of Hamas terror targets.”

Ali was identified as “a company commander of the Hamas ‘Nukhba’ commando force” who personally led fighters in a vicious series of ground strikes on Israeli communities near the Gaza border.

Smoke and flames rose from northern Gaza Saturday after an Israeli airstrike.

“Ali Qadi led the inhumane, barbaric October 7 massacre of civilians in Israel,” the Israeli Defense Forces wrote in a post on X.

“We just eliminated him. All Hamas terrorists will meet the same fate.”

Ali was one of 477 Palestinian prisoners released by Israel in 2011 in exchange for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who had been held by Hamas for five years.

At the time, Hamas exulted over the prisoner swap — organizing a massive Gaza City rally in which 250,000 Palestinians chanted “We want a new Gilad!” as they called for more cross-border kidnappings.

At least 150 Israeli civilians — including babies and small children — were abducted Oct. 7 and taken to Gaza as hostages.
