UFC star Conor McGregor, accused of sex assault, greets NYC fans
MMA star Conor McGregor was spotted giving out autographs outside his ritzy Manhattan hotel just days after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside Miami’s Kaseya Center bathroom.
McGregor, 34 — decked out head to toe in a white Gucci outfit — was flanked by fans in front of The Peninsula on Fifth Avenue Saturday night, with the embattled UFC fighter stopping to sign autographs.
The Irish grappler appeared to be heading to a children’s party as his security personnel could be seen holding a trove of superhero-themed toys and balloons while guiding McGregor to his car.
Fans were still waiting for him as he returned hours later and the dad of three, whose longtime love Dee Devlin is pregnant with their fourth child, signed a few more autographs before entering the hotel.
McGregor appeared to be keeping a low profile after allegations emerged that he attempted to rape a woman during a Miami Heat game on June 10.
The victim’s lawyer, Ariel Mitchell, alleged that Heat and NBA security separated the woman from her friends and forced her into a bathroom, where McGregor was waiting for her, according to letters from the attorney obtained by The Post.
The woman accused McGregor of forcibly kissing her and making her perform oral sex as the security stood guard. She also claimed McGregor tried to rape her, but was “too limp” to do so.
McGregor has vehemently denied the allegations, characterizing it as “no more than a shakedown.”
The woman is seeking settlements with the NBA, the Heat and McGregor in lieu of litigation, according to the letters.
New footage of the night of the alleged incident has surfaced, showing McGregor and the alleged victim together inside a club after the assault was said to have occurred.
Both Mitchell and Barbara R. Llanes, McGregor’s attorney, claimed the video supports their clients’ version of events.
This is not the first time McGregor has been accused of sexual assault.
In March 2019, it was reported that the MMA star was under investigation in his native Ireland for sexual assault, stemming from a December 2018 incident.
He was arrested the following month, but was never formally charged, four people familiar with the probe told the New York Times.
The woman and her mother later sued McGregor for assault and personal injury in January 2021.
