United passenger captures alarming video of apparent pilot repairing window before flight

United pilots apparently do windows.

A shocked passenger has shared video of a pilot repairing a window just before takeoff.

An Instagram story video shared by TMZ shows the staffer in a pilot’s uniform holding a window seal and putting it in place, then calmly making sure everything is secure as passengers look on before their flight from Denver to Dallas.

“They are literally replacing a ‘window’ with all of us just chilling and sitting here waiting to take off?!?!?” the flyer, a self-described toddler expert named Kristin, wrote in her thread of stories Sunday.

“I have so many questions. Is this our pilot?!? Should a pilot be replacing a f–king window?!?! Is this normal?!” the woman wrote along the video, which shows a man bearing the striped insignia of a pilot working on the window.

She later expressed her relief that the plane made it safely to its destination.

“Window did not fly off the plane. It’s eclipse season y’all. Miracles can happen,” added Kristin, who is seen holding a sleeping baby on her lap.

It was unclear what kind of plane was involved but the unsettling video emerged amid a series of aviation safety incidents that have made headlines, including an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9.

The plane suffered a near-catastrophic mid-flight mishap when a door plug blew out at an altitude of 16,000 feet.

The plane made an emergency landing in Portland, Oregon, with a hole the size of a refrigerator. Miraculously, just one of the 177 passengers was injured.

The Post has reached out to United about the incident involving the apparent pilot-turned-mechanic.
