US Open 2023: Day 11 Order of Play and Schedule – When are women’s semi-finals? Coco Gauff in action

Coco Gauff will be looking to reach her second Grand Slam final when she meets Karolina Muchova in the US Open semi-finals on Thursday.

The 19-year-old American defeated Jelena Ostapenko 6-0 6-2 on Tuesday as she raced into the last four in arguably the best form of her career.

Muchova was similarly impressive as she also notched a bagel, with her 6-0 6-3 win coming against Romania’s Sorana Cirstea.

In the other semi-final, Aryna Sabalenka – who is soon to become the world No. 1 after Iga Swiatek’s early elimination – will play Madison Keys.

Top women’s match – Coco Gauff (6) v Karolina Muchova (10)

Coco Gauff will be coming up against a player who has impressed over the last two weeks.

Muchova has dropped just one set, against Wang Xinyu in the last 16, but otherwise has found her opposition relatively easy work.

Gauff eased by Ostapenko in her last round, having come through a tricky draw so far.

A fourth round clash with Caroline Wozniacki pushed her hard, and she had also had to take on impressive teenager Mirra Andreeva and the experienced Elise Mertens.

For Gauff, it is the chance to go down in history in front of her home crowd. For Muchova, a losing finalist in this year’s French Open, it is the chance to go one further in her own quest for glory.

Gauff beat Muchova in the Cincinnati Open final last month.
