Usher and Keke Palmer don’t dance around baby-daddy drama in new video

Keke Palmer has definitely got it bad for Usher.

At least that’s the pot-stirring plot of Usher’s new “Boyfriend” video, which premiered Wednesday. In the clip, the “Nope” actress fantasizes about the “Love in This Club” singer.

If that sounds familiar, it’s clearly a ribbing response to last month’s baby-daddy drama when Palmer’s then-partner, fitness instructor Darius Jackson, took to social media to criticize the sheer, body-baring ensemble in which she slow-danced with Usher at his Las Vegas residency last month.

“It’s the outfit tho … you a mom,” tweeted Jackson, who is the father of Palmer’s 5-month-old son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson.

He then went on to further mom-shame Palmer by tweeting that he “doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others.”

Well, with the couple having split up in the midst of the resulting social media storm, Jackson’s ex doesn’t exactly turn the other cheek in Usher’s new video.

The clip starts with Palmer lip-syncing to Usher’s single — a summery, instantly catchy bop — with a couple of Champagne-sipping girlfriends.

Then a shirtless Usher — looking as chiseled as ever — shows up as the do-ragged, gold-chained object of Palmer’s desire, singing, “In your head, ’cause I’m not in your bed/You just imagine it, stay dreaming about me.”

As Usher croons about how she’s “loving me on the low,” Palmer then makes like her fantasy man in a dance sequence that takes them twirling to the casino floor. In fact, the video was filmed at the Park MGM, where the singer’s Vegas residency is held, and the NoMad Las Vegas.

After the two twinsies admire their matching outfits, the next scene finds Palmer waking up from what is clearly a sexy dream. But she’s overslept and missed a show — presumably Usher’s.

“Dammit!” she exclaims. “I’m so tired. You know, I’m a mother, after all.”
