Vanna White loses ‘Wheel of Fortune’ to ‘Jeopardy!’ hosts

Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik beat Vanna White at her own game.

White has been turning the letters on “Wheel of Fortune” for over 40 years, co-hosting alongside Pat Sajak, but she got a taste of what it’s like from the other side.

White, 66, competed against “Jeopardy!” hosts Jennings, 48, and Bialik, 47, on Wednesday’s episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”

White earned a total of $2,000, which was later bumped to the show’s $30,000 minimum, raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She guessed letters that had already been called, exclaiming, “That’s been called?!”

“What?! Oh my gosh! I’m terrible at this game!” she said.

But the hosts of “Jeopardy!” were a good match for their rival game show, with Bialik winning the first round and Jennings taking the second.

Neither of them solved the bonus round, but they each won over $60,000 dollars for their charities. Jennings played for Equal Justice Initiative and Bialik for Mental Wealth Alliance.

Prior to the episode’s premiere, White posted a picture of the three of them on Instagram, acknowledging that they were all “out of our comfort zone.”

With White in the contestant spot, Sajak’s daughter Maggie Sajak got to fill in the shoes of the long-time letter-turner.

“It was an HONOR filling in for you tonight @officialvannawhite!” Maggie wrote on an Instagram post, and White commented, “You did a great job, Maggie!”

“Wheel of Fortune” runs deep in Maggie’s blood, acting as the series’ social correspondent since 2021.

Maggie also visited the game show’s set when she was a young girl and she often joined her dad on stage, according to the show’s website.

This wasn’t the first time Maggie got to take on the iconic role.

In January 2020, when Sajak, 76, was recovering from surgery, White took over as host to fill in while Maggie made her debut as a letter-turner.
