Video shows cop walking in on armed robbery at 7-Eleven

This is the jaw-dropping moment an unsuspecting California police sergeant strolled into a 7-Eleven — and stumbled upon an active armed robbery.

Surveillance cameras in the convenience store in Covina caught the masked robber walking in around 8:30 pm Wednesday and walking up to the counter under the guise of buying cigarettes, police said.

As the store clerk begins placing the purchase into a black plastic bag, the robber lifts the bottom of his hoodie to show a gun tucked into his waistband.

“Fearfully, the employee complies and begins placing money into the plastic bag,” West Covina police said.

Once the clerk stuffs around $400 in cash in the plastic bag, Gonzalez suddenly looks over his left shoulder — as Covina police Sgt. Hernandez casually strolls into the store in uniform.

Unaware of what is happening, the sergeant walks passed the robber — who dashes for the door.

The clerk immediately alerts the cop, who chases after the fleeing robber, soon capturing him, police said.

“Right place at the right time,” the police department captioned the video, which had no audio, while sharing it on social media.

The captured suspect, Ramon Gonzalez, 48, was found with a loaded gun and cash stolen from the store, police said.
