Wakanda Forever’ first reactions pour in

Black Panther rises again.

Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” has just a few days to go before it hits the big screen, but the reviews are already rolling in.

The superhero flick will debut on Nov. 11 as the sequel to 2018’s highly praised “Black Panther.”

The Ryan Coogler-directed film is expected to serve as tribute to its late star and the clawed hero himself, Chadwick Boseman, who died suddenly in August 2020 from colon cancer at the age of 43.

He portrayed King T’Challa in the 2018 movie as well as a number of other Marvel projects involving his fierce character.

Fans across social media have applauded the upcoming release, with many echoing the same sentiments regarding its eulogy to Boseman.

“Black Panther: #WakandaForever is Marvel’s most poignant and powerful film to date. It’s heavy and dark in the way that it needed to be, and mostly abandons the studio’s trademark tone,” the Hollywood Reporter’s Brian Davids wrote.

He continued, “The craft work levels up in every conceivable way, and the performances rise to the occasion.”

Variety’s Clayton Davis scribed, “#BlackPantherWakandaForever is a beautiful tribute to Chadwick Boseman. Visual stunner, with Angela Bassett commanding every scene she inhabits.”

The movie also features highly anticipated new music from Rihanna. Added Davis, “Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ will do that for many. Another great post-credit scene that’s genuinely a jaw-dropper. Don’t know about Oscars.”

“#BlackPanther Does. Not. Disappoint,” tweeted Entertainment Weekly’s editor in chief Patrick Gomez.

Referring to “Black Panther” as Marvels “crown jewel,” independent film critic Orlando Maldonado said, “#WakandaForever is outstanding. It handles loss, grief and revenge with a maturity and seriousness rarely seen in the MCU.”

#BlackPanther#WakandaForever is epic, especially in scope,” another person penned. “Namor is one of the better villains the MCU has had to offer. Tenoch Huerta just kills it! Emotions are heavy. Ryan Coogler ups his game on the action. It’s a lot to take in, balance so much, and is powerfully good.”

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” star Simu Liu attended the premiere alongside many other stars on Wednesday evening and also gave his two cents.

“Incredible night at the #WakandaForever premiere. No spoilers, no words. Speechless in fact. Just watch the damn movie,” he said.

The sequel will have viewers watching the comic war between the nation of Wakanda against the villain Namor and his underwater tribe of Talocan.

Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Dominique Thorne, Florence Kasumba, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman and Bassett round up the ensemble cast.
