Watch Selena Gomez surprise Coldplay fans at Rose Bowl stop
Fans were “Naturally” ecstatic.
Pop singer Selena Gomez caused quite a stir in Pasadena on Sunday after she surprised Coldplay fans while the band played at the Rose Bowl.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star joined the British band and sang their 2021 collaboration, “Let Somebody Go.”
Gomez, 31, later took to Instagram to thank the band as well as R&B singer H.E.R., who also performed.
“Thank you @coldplay @hermusicofficial for an amazing night,” wrote Gomez in the post.
In a clip posted to X (formerly Twitter), the “Boyfriend” singer can be seen emerging from offstage wearing a black gown and silver sequinned boots. She joined in with frontman Chris Martin, 46, who can be spotted smiling as the star enters.
Several fans went wild at the sight of Gomez.
“I’m freaking out,” gushed one fan.
“SHE IS COMING BACK AND READY,” another wrote.
The “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress more recently made another public appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Last month, she was dragged on social media and was made a meme after making a face when rapper Chris Brown was mentioned as a nominee in the Best R&B category.
“I will never be a meme again,” Gomez, 31, wrote on her Instagram Story in response.“I’d rather sit still than be dragged for being myself. Much love.”
The “Single Soon” singer’s frightened expression during Rodrigo’s performance went viral on social media too.
The “Vampire” singer’s stage intentionally fell apart as curtains fell from the sky, fiery pyrotechnics burst into action and a man dressed in all-black escorted Rodrigo away from the planned chaos.
A camera pointed at Gomez during the performance captured her covering her ear.
A source with knowledge of the situation, however, told The Post that Gomez “definitely wasn’t mad after the show” and was looking forward to attending a small afterparty.
Gomez has been open about her contentious relationship with social media. In 2021, she famously deleted Instagram for her mental health. “I say that because that’s a huge, significant part of why I feel like I’ve been as healthy as I have been,” she said to WWD’s Beauty Inc. “I’m completely unaware of actually what’s going on in pop culture, and that makes me really happy. And maybe that doesn’t make everybody else happy, but for me, it’s really saved my life.”
