What to know about Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z: Skins, quests and more

The Dragon Ball and Fortnite crossover event has officially begun.

Starting Tuesday, characters from Dragon Ball including Vegeta, Son Goku, Beerus and Bulma are available in Fortnite, according to IGN.

New Dragon Ball items have also been added to the Battle Royale item shop, such as the Power Pole Pickaxe, Kamesennin’s Staff Pickaxe, Nimbus Cloud Glider, Space Pod Glider, Charging Up Emote, Fusion Emote and Boosting Ki Emote.

Fornite will also have Dragon Ball-themed activities that let fans fly and fight as if they were a Super Saiyan.

Dragon Ball Adventure Island will be added to Fortnite on August 19, recreating several locations from the series, including Kami’s Palace, Goku’s House and the Room of Spirit & Time, according to the Fortnite site. There will also be a player-vs-player battle arena at Tenkaichi Budokai.

A new “Power Unleashed” tab will also be available to players from now until August 30 that will feature Dragon Ball-themed quests to be completed for rewards. There are seven sets of quests that will award players a Dragon Ball. Collecting all seven will earn the player the Shenron Glider, IGN reported.

The seven sets of Quests will test a player’s “skills in strength, agility, focus, and more,” the Fornite site says.

Fornite will also host in-game viewing parties on a virtual cruise ship for select Dragon Ball Super episodes from August 16 until September 17.

On August 18, players will be able to participate in the Tournament of Power in the Competitive playlist for a chance to win prizes.
