White House aides are told President Biden has six grandchildren — leaving out the little granddaughter who is the child of son Hunter and a former stripper, a new report says.
Critics have been quick to jump on what they call a disgraceful situation for a president who prides himself on being devoted to his family, with some calling the Bidens “monsters” for the omission.
“This is gross,” author Jerry Dunleavy said in a tweet linking to the New York Times story with the detail.
The report said aides have been told in “strategy meetings” over the past few years that President Biden only has the six grandkids, excluding Hunter’s toddler, according to two people descirbed as familiar with the situation.
The 4-year-old girl’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, finally reached a settlement with Hunter last month over child-custody payments for the tot, court documents revealed last week.
Specific financial details of the deal were largely redacted. But a bizarre provision left public stipulated the child will receive a painting from the scandal-plagued first son — whose most recently revealed antics include him apparently filming himself smoking crack while driving in 2018.
The president has previously stated publicly that he only has six grandchildren, and Hunter “has never seen or contacted” the child, while his dad and first lady Jill Biden “remain estranged” from her, Roberts previously revealed in court documents.
Hunter Biden once claimed that he had no memory of even meeting Roberts. But text messages from his abandoned laptop show that she was on the payroll of his consulting firm while pregnant with their child.
A paternity test validated Roberts’ claims that Hunter was the father, and the younger Biden subsequently agreed to pay $20,000 in monthly child support payments back in 2020, although the recent settlement allegedly greatly reduced the support to $5,000 a month.
Outcry against the president and his family was swift when the Times detail surfaced about them seeming to refuse to acknowledge the girl.
“These people are monsters,” conservative pundit Scott Jennings tweeted.
EpochTV host Jeff Carlson wrote, “Joe Biden is NOT the doting, caring father-figure that he pretends to be.”
Ben Domenech, co-founder of The Federalist tweeted while quoting the article, ” ‘Her maternal grandfather, Rob Roberts, described her as whip-smart and funny. “I may not be the POTUS,” Roberts said in a text, but he said he would do anything for his granddaughter. He said she “needs for nothing and never will.” ‘ That’s a good grandpa. Unlike Joe.”
The White House did not respond to a Post request for comment Sunday.
