Will Smith calls Jada Pinkett marriage brutal as they reunite

Will Smith made a surprise appearance at wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s Baltimore book tour stop for her new memoir, “Worthy.”

The “Gotham” star, 52, made headlines recently for her comments about her marriage to the Oscar winner, 55, revealing that they’ve been separated for the last seven years.

However, Will has nothing but love for his “best friend” Jada, stopping by her event on Oct. 18.

He made a speech at the bash, according to the Baltimore Sun, saying that he wanted to come “and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me.”

The “King Richard” star then stated that their relationship was “very long and tumultuous” over the last three decades.

“We call it ‘brutiful,’” he admitted. “It was brutal and beautiful at the same time.”

The couple married in 1997 after two years of dating and share kids, Willow, 22, and Jaden, 25. Will also has a son Trey, 30, with ex-wife Sheree Zampino.

Jada was busy promoting her memoir “Worthy” in Baltimore yesterday and Will came to surprise her on stage.

“As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life,” he continued proudly. “I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life. There is not one thing left that I desire in this world — all of the awards, all of the money, the family — everything I’ve ever dreamed.”

The “Summertime” singer also explained that his goals were “largely built on the foundation of Jada’s sacrifices.”

Will and Jada are parents to daughter Willow and son Jaden.

“Can you show up and love somebody for the rest of your life, even when you don’t agree with them?” Will asked.

He added: “Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life.”

Jada smiled throughout the speech and gushed over Will, reportedly calling him “babe” as he concluded his kind words, per the Baltimore Banner.

The couple have been separated since 2016.

In a bombshell interview with Hoda Kotb that aired on NBC last week, the “Girls Trip” star detailed that her love with Will is “fractured” and she has thought of legally divorcing him through the years.

“By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be,” Jada said.

“Still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership, right? And in regards to how do we present that to people? And we hadn’t figured that out,” she continued.

She’d later say on the “Today” show that they are headed toward reconciling, and their goal is to still have a life partnership together.
