Wimbledon 2023: Day 12 Order of Play – When is Jannik Sinner v Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz v Daniil Medvedev?

The men’s singles Wimbledon finalists will be decided on Friday, July 14 when a pair of blockbuster semi-finals take place on Centre Court.

First up is a repeat of last year’s five-set quarter-final epic, as eighth seed Jannik Sinner faces defending champion Novak Djokovic.

Then it’s the turn of world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, who has Daniil Medvedev standing between him and a first Wimbledon final.

On Court No. 1, the Ladies’ Doubles semi-finals will play out, with Elise Mertens and Storm Hunter being the highest-ranked pairing remaining as the third seeds.

There will be no women’s singles action on Friday as the semi-finals were played a day earlier, when Ons Jabeur and Marketa Vondrousova set up an exciting final for Saturday.

Top match – Jannik Sinner v Novak Djokovic

It’s new generation v old generation, it’s inexperience v ultimate experience and it’s a chance to gauge how these two players have changed since last year.

Sinner took a two set to love lead against Djokovic in their quarter-final clash a year ago at SW19, only for the Serbian to roar back and clinch a five-set win that sent him storming towards a seventh Wimbledon title.

The Serbian is chasing a 24th Grand Slam title at the All England Club, but the talented 21-year-old Italian has risen to No. 8 in the world since last year and will be determined to make an impression in the first Grand Slam semi-final of his career.

Brit watch

With no Brits remaining in the men’s singles or womens’ doubles, the show courts won’t have any local heroes to cheer on this time.
