Woke NYC school forced teacher out for being a man: suit

An educator claims in a lawsuit he was harassed for being a man at the posh Trinity School — and was even subjected to a poop-laden campaign to force him out.

Learning specialist Gerardo Perez alleges he walked into his office one day in October 2022 and found a pile of dung.

The $ 64,000 annual tuition school concluded the feces was accidentally brought in on someone’s shoe, but Perez contends the size and shape of the foul deposit suggested it was “purposely placed” there.

Perez alleged his trouble at the famed Upper West Side prep school — which boasts alums John McEnroe, Oliver Stone, and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg — began in June 2021, when a female colleague began harassing him, accusing him of shoddy work and demanding he responds immediately to her requests.

When he labeled her actions “aggressive,” she responded by saying his email was a “microaggression” against her, according to court papers.

The coworker, Chaztery Cruz, who is not a defendant in the suit, was “attempting to leverage the ‘woke’ philosophy of the Trinity School,” and she cc’d Perez’s boss on her gripes in a bid to embarrass him, the 49-year-old’s lawsuit contends.

Perez, who earned $132,000 a year and worked at the school from 2020 to 2023, alleged he repeatedly complained about the “persistent harassment” to no avail.

He was fired on Feb. 24.

When he asked why he’d been terminated, administrators cited his ongoing battles with the complaining colleague, he alleged.

He’s seeking unspecified damages from Trinity, the head of the school John Allman, and the assistant head of the school Alexis Mulvihill.

“Mr. Perez was loved by students and parents at the Trinity School, and he received glowing reviews throughout his tenure at Trinity,” his attorney, Dylan Wiley told The Post. “We intend to prove through extensive documentary evidence that Mr. Perez was targeted for defending himself against a hostile work environment based on his sex.”

The Trinity School declined to comment.
