O’Sullivan kicked off his 2023 campaign against promising Chinese youngster Pang Junxu, which he won 10-7. He now faces Hossein Vafaei in a grudge match of epic proportions in the last 16 on Friday.

The 2023 World Championship runs from April 15 to May 1. All matches are held at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

  • First-round matches are best-of-19 frames
  • Second-round and quarter-final matches are best-of-25 frames
  • Semi-final matches are best-of-33 frames
  • The final is best-of-35 frames
