World Snooker Championship 2023: Mark Allen jokes with marker after foul – ‘You’ve got one job!’
Allen joked with the crowd saying “I don’t know what all the fuss was about” after he potted the first ball on resumption of play following the delay.
He went on to knock in a century to go 7-3 up and shared another joke, this time with the marker, when he fouled in frame 11.

Allen tried to hit a red thin but missed it, so Fan asked for the ball to be put back. Referee Olivier Marteel wanted to check where the cue ball was so asked the marker, Rob Spencer to check the position of the white.
“Tiny, bit that way,” said Spencer, who presumably pointed to the right.
Then he corrected himself and seemingly pointed to the left as he said: “Woops, sorry! The other way, sorry.”
Allen reacted and joked: “You’ve got one job!”
The long 11th frame went the way of Fan, who reduced his deficit to three fames at 7-4 behind.
The divide had been lifted between the two tables so the fans could watch the Allen v Fan match following the invasion.
Robert Milkins and Joe Perry’s first-round match was not able to be resumed, with WST confirming they would begin their battle on Tuesday at 19:00 BST, at the time their second session was originally scheduled.
