Young Robert De Niro v. Al Pacino: Who was hotter?
It was a dead “heat” between these two Hollywood heartthrobs.
One Twitter user sparked a massive online debate on Saturday when they asked users who they thought was hotter: a young Robert De Niro or a young Al Pacino?
The question, posed by journalist Ashley Reese to her 60,500 followers, came after De Niro, 79, welcomed his seventh child on Tuesday. 83-year-old Pacino, meanwhile, has been fresh on fans’ minds following his retrospective interview with the 92nd Street Y in New York City.
“At a wedding and having a big debate rn. Please vote. Who was hotter,” the wedding guest wrote in a tweet, which included a poll for users to cast their vote for which Big Apple-born actor reigns as supremely sexy.
Reese’s post quickly went viral and officially closed on Sunday night with more than 277,000 votes.
Just like those at the wedding, it seemed like social media users were also deadlocked, leaving the final vote split down the middle.
“This 50/50 tie is incredible,” Reese later commented in response to the ongoing poll. “You’re really a young Pacino or a young De Niro.”
Meanwhile, users campaigned for their fave by posting various flattering photos of each actor in their younger years as well as several clips of both De Niro and Pacino from their roles in various films through the decades.
Several people joked that the poll was more important than official elections.
“Bro this poll had better turnout than my congressional district lmao,” laughed one user.
“I have refreshed this more times than the 2020 election results,” said another.
“Will there be a run-off? Because this feels too close to call,” joked a third voter. “Where is Steve Kornacki and his big board?”
A rep for both De Niro and Pacino declined to comment at The Post’s request.
The online discourse came almost a week after De Niro and his girlfriend Tiffany Chen announced that she had given birth to “The Irishman” star’s seventh child.
According to the “Bronx Tale” actor, the pregnancy was planned and he “was not surprised” that he would be a dad again.
“How you could not plan that kind of thing,” the 79-year-old told Page Six.
According to De Niro, being a dad is his favorite real-life role.
