Zelensky pans Tucker Carlson’s marathon Putin interview: ‘2 hours of bullsh–‘

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky panned Tucker Carlson’s softball interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, ripping it as “two hours of bulls–t.”

Speaking from Ukraine on Fox News’ “Special Report” Sunday, Zelensky told host Bret Baier that although he was briefed on it, he ultimately spent very little time thinking about Carlson’s Feb. 6 sit-down at the Kremlin with Putin, whom he called “a killer.”

“I don’t have time to hear more than two hours of bulls–t about us, about the world, about the United States, about our relations and this interview with a killer,” Zelensky told the anchor.

His comments come just days before his country marks two years under siege by Russian forces and less than a week after opposition leader Alexei Navalny, 47, died in a Russian prison under suspicious circumstances.

Navalny’s death drew widespread condemnation from Western world leaders, including President Biden, who outright accused Putin of arranging his opponent’s killing and pointed to it as further evidence of the Russian president’s “brutality.”

“Make no mistake: Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death. Putin is responsible. What has happened to Navalny is yet more proof of Putin’s brutality,” Biden said speaking from the White House Friday.

The Kremlin has vehemently denied any involvement in Navalny’s death, with a Putin spokesman slamming the allegations as “unfounded and rude.”

Putin ran roughshod over Carlson, 54, during the course of the rambling, unfocused interview, at one point the 71-year-old monologuing about the evolution of Russia and Ukraine over 1,000 years with scarcely an interruption from the former Fox News primetime anchor.

Putin himself took a dim view of Carlson’s showing during the one-on-one, telling a Russian outlet that he “did not get full satisfaction from this interview.”

“To be honest, I thought that he would behave aggressively and ask so-called sharp questions,” Putin said mockingly.
