Influencer mom Laura Merritt Walker reveals 3-year-old son died in ‘tragic accident’

Popular lifestyle influencer Laura Merritt Walker made the heartbreaking announcement that her 3-year-old son died in a “tragic accident” last week.

“We are completely broken-hearted to share that we lost our precious Callahan in a tragic accident last week,” the Texas mother and husband David Walker wrote on Instagram about their youngest son.

The couple posted a photo of the two of them with Callahan from a family photo shoot, a photo of the parents holding the boy’s hand in his hospital bed and a video of the blonde-haired tot reading a book in bed.

“He was such a blessing and brought so much joy to our whole family,” they wrote in the joint post.

“Cal-Bear was absolutely adored by his big brothers and loved them beyond measure. As parents we are completely shattered at the loss of our baby boy,” the post says.

The couple said they take solace in “knowing he is being held in the arms of Jesus” and asked for prayers “during this impossible time.”

Details about the boy’s death are unknown, but police in the town of Frisco told People Magazine that firefighters responded to a drowning call involving a child last week.

Callahan celebrated his 3rd birthday in October, according to a social media post.

The post included videos of the little boy in pajamas playing with a giant No. 3 balloon.

Bachelor Nation’s Raven Gates wrote in response: “I am beyond sorry, there are absolutely no words. I’m praying the Lord gives you peace and comfort beyond all understanding.”

Taylor has since launched the Callahan Walker foundation in their son’s name to “serve and love families walking through the impossible with their children.”
