Sylvester Stallone’s daughters shocked to learn Pope Francis is a fan of their dad

Sylvester Stallone’s daughters were shocked to learn that even Pope Francis is a fan of their dad, they told The Post.

During a trip to Italy with their parents, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet Stallone met the pontiff, who told Sly in Italian, with the help of a translator, “We grew up with your films.”

“He brought it up to him that he was watching the films and we all looked at each other like, ‘Oh my gosh,’” said Sophia, 27.

“I think that is probably the only person on Earth who I would never guess,” continued Scarlet, 21.

“Our dad’s known by the pope? Like what?” added Sistine, 25.

In the scene, which was filmed for their reality series “The Family Stallone,” which debuted its second season this week, Francis also said he was “honored” to meet the “Rocky” star, and called his daughters “the three Marys.”

“I think we peaked in meeting people that are famous,” said Sophia. “That was it. That was the top.”

Being in papal presence was hard to put into words, said the trio, whose mom is former model Jennifer Flavin.

“There’s a feeling I can’t even describe that is such a lightweight feeling when you’re meeting him,” said Scarlet. “I don’t know if it was my nervousness, but I felt so holy.”

Sistine described it as an “out-of-body” experience.

“You almost feel his presence before he even walked in the room, like there was just energy that just washed over us,” she added.

The sisters, who grew up in Los Angeles, said a series about their famous family has been a long time in the making.

“We’ve always gotten approached to do a reality show,” said Sistine.

“Every single network has tried to sort of get an inside look on who our family is. And I think the timing just was never right.”

“I mean, we were all middle school and high school, so we were all really at our awkward stages,” continued Scarlet.

In the last episode of Season 2, Sly, 77, and his daughters host a celebratory dinner for Flavin, 55, which the girls said was a special moment since their mom doesn’t always get the recognition she deserves.

“The show is definitely centered around my dad, and he gets a lot of the screen time and a lot of the attention. But she really is not only the glue you see on the show, she’s the glue to our entire family,” gushed Sistine.

Flavin was “extremely involved” while they were growing up, especially when their dad was away on movie shoots, the girls said.

“He would go out for like eight, nine months at a time for films,” Sophia said. “So she was the role of mom and dad. She was there every game, every drop-off, every pickup.”

Sophia and Sistine moved to New York a year ago and are hoping Scarlet, a junior in college in Miami, will follow suit once she graduates.

“I’m kind of split on California and New York,” said Scarlet. “But then I have these two in my ear saying, ‘No, no, no, you got to move to New York.’”

“You have to stay with us. We don’t separate,” said Sistine.

Scarlet agreed, and seemed like she already had her mind made up.

“Yeah, we don’t,” she said. “And I honestly would be very unhappy if I was across the country from them.”
